I paid $14900. My brother was not really wanting to sell it as he spent 2 years looking for a mint UL LS430. It just so happens that Allstate gave him a company car. (Ford Exploder) He started at 15 working at our local Acura dealership, went on to manage the Mercedes-Benz of Knoxville body shop, and now works for Allstate.

Beyond all the knowledge and how easy he can tell if a car has had any damage, he is literally OCD and drove the thing with either sheets or towels over the seats! On family outings, they took his wife's ES300 instead.

Thankfully, the OCD transferred over to using Amsoil for diff fluid, changing all air filters every 5000 miles, and changing the oil (full synthetic) every 3000 miles.

Tom,
Like I said, I could definitely be wrong! That said, I am almost positive that 18's were not available with the Ultra Luxury Package with the attendant air suspension.

Also, mighty nice car with 52K. VIAStech MML is my first plan of action for A2DP. I really do miss Spotify and while my LS has XM (original owner still pays), it does not have Howard Stern.
Best,
Jack

You may be correct, Jack. I didn't know that a UL could be (and had to be) ordered with Sport Package in order to get 18" wheels. Perhaps someone can chime in here. The 17"s definitely provide a nice compromise between appearance, handling and smooth ride. I put 17's on my '01 -> 16"s were stock, 17"s were an option that year.

You'll love the MML and the sound quality. I have it in all 4 of my LS's. Check out other threads on VaisTech install for pics of my custom installs of the USB access port.

Best wishes with your new LS.

Tom,
I am pretty sure on the 04-06's that the Sport Package was not even an option. That is not to say that it might be available on the 01-03 LS's so equipped.

And thank you so much for the wishes and everyone for the kindness.
Best,
JQ

Excellent looking car, JQ. Looks brand new. Your writing in the posts is also excellent, a lot of detail and good flow. Nice to see in the ever-changing internet world.

Thank you so much for the kind words. I am loving my car more and more each day.
