Default Air Suspension HELP!!

Hey everyone,

I am new to this forum and picked up my very 1st Lexus. Its a 2004 LS430 with the stock air suspension. I have been looking through the forums trying to find the answer to my question, but I have had no luck. I was hoping someone has the knowledge that I don't? My right front strut is shot. I have called numerous places to see if they have a stock replacement, but no luck. I am aware of the conversion kits out there, however, I would like to stay with the stock setup. Is there anyone out there that rebuilds these? The dealer provided me with the following part number 48010-50130 and an outrageous price. If there is any information that can be provided I would really appreciate it.

2nd, if I decide to go used, will any air suspension from 2001-2006 work? My car has a 6 spd transmission and sport settings. Thank you for looking.

I guess I don't understand, you can find the stock replacement, you just don't like the dealer's price? My guess is most dealers want around $1,200 for just a single strut, and its been that way forever. If anything, they are probably cheaper now than they were in the past.

But I've never heard of a Lexus dealer not being able to get a hold of them.

The other options are finding a used one or converting to steel coils.

Sorry, i didn't make it clear. You are right, I don't like the dealer price. I know there are companies that rebuild these and I was hoping to find something like that. If not, used is my only option. My bad for the confusion.

I don't know if they still do the air struts, since one link goes to coil replacement call and find out.

Don't know about this one, just more ideas for struts.

More ideas.

You can always try and see if any of these out fits can work with you, I would think the fancy struts would work with the stock air system, and if you plan on keeping the car it looks like they would be real easy to rebuild and replace the rubber components on.

So I called Arnott and they don't do older Lexus stuff anymore, they did in the past. Yeah pretty goofy. And I asked about just sending some in for rebuild Nope, they do that in large quantity's. So if they got a huge order in for them maybe they could be convinced to do that, they do sell conversion kits though, I should have asked where they were made.
