can anyone confirm if a replacement Original Used Radio tuner for a LS430 needs to be matched to the Original head unit via there parts numbers or will any LS430 radio tuner work with any original head unit

There are at least 4 flavors: 2001-2003 with navigation, 2001-2003 without navigation, 2004-2006 with navigation, 2004-2006 without navigation.
There are at least 2 OEM audio system manufacturers: Mark Levinson and Pioneer, but even if you have a ML system, I believe radio of all variations are manufactured by Pioneer.

Best thing to do is to pull the radio and get the Toyota part number on the back of the unit, and use it to find your replacement.
