Default VSC and check engine light

I was driving today and the vsc and check engine light came on. Had the code read and it was 1389. I cleared the code and it came back on after another 5 miles. Car is a 2001 base model with aprox 159k miles. Any suggestions as to what I should do. The car still drives fine. Will any damage occur if I continue driving. This is my only car so I have to drive it daily

If it's P1349, then it's the driver's side oil control valve > Part # 15340-50011. $63 online. Easy DIY if you're able. (There are existing threads on this issue.)

2001 Base with 226K miles. I threw a P1346 and P1349... After searching the forum for a direction to head, I came up Oil Control Valve... Recommended or not I don't know, but, I took out both Oil Control Valves, I put 12 volt DC to the pins on the valve and found that the passenger side was not moving as near as fast or strong as the driver’s side.... Replaced the passenger side valve and all issues were resolved.... I did have someone reply to that post and said the valves tend to fail pretty close together. That was in March or April and 10,000 plus miles ago. No issues yet.

I didn't check for on-line availability at the time, paid $130ish at Lexus... Part # for the passenger side 15340-0F010

Thanks for saving $$$'s on the next one.... It's appreciated!! Let us know how it works out!!!

Can anyone out there help me with this. The VSC ligh, Check engine light and Traction Control light turn on. I reset it by unplugging the battery but after a while if I hit a bump or something lights turn on again. What could be the issue? My car is an 06 IS250

All i suggest is you need to go to the mechanic and do a scan for fault code before doing any next step.
