Default Muffler recommendations?

I searched but didn't really find a muffler specific thread so,,,,,,

I am looking to replace the dual mufflers on my 2003 LS. Looking for something with a decent rumble,,, not really a straight thru race muffler. Has anybody replaced just their muff's and have a good recommendation?? Thanks...

Borla's are fantastic. If you want just a little more volume without spending much leave the stocks in place and remove the resonators.

Quiet is always better and your neighbors will thank you. Every state has laws against tampering with mufflers but those laws are rarely enforced. Some cities have noise ordinances so I would check.

I will have to look into the resonators,,, to be honest I didnt know there were any on the car (I focused on the mufflers when I was under there)...

I just want a little rumble and a lil' sumpin' when I mash on it,,, not anything obnoxious,,, You can hardly hear the car at all with the stock set up... Thanks for the feedback

I am a dealer for Borla, as well as just about any other brand you can think of. If i can be of any assistance, please dont hesitate to shoot me a PM and we can discuss options. Are you trying to get something thats a cat back, or just replacing the mufflers?

Yeah it's a dumb question, but how do I remove the resonators? Are they easy to re-install if desired?

It all depends on what you do my advice is get a custome exhaust made 316 stainless steel 2.25 with a borla x pipe muffler in place of the third cat and you can either just run piping I out the back or have two more mufflers at the end up to you

I am just looking for a better sounding muffler (no race mufflers) and some nice tips (although I am going to talk to my muff shop about removing the resonators first).... I will check out your website as I get closer to this project... Thanks..
