Default Best wiper blades and where to get them?

What are the best wiper blades for a LS430, and where should I buy them. I have heard a lot of pro and con about silicon blades.

Thanks

Stick with the original blades and replace the wiper inserts. There's been a few threads about this topic.

Stock inserts are best and cheapest option. I replaced the whole blade with oem my last go around with excellent results.

OEM inserts work well and are certainly cheap enough.

I've done wiper blades all my life and we have a lot of cars. The best I've found are the inserts from Toyota. They are the same as Lexus, but cheaper. Do not replace the arm, unless it is broken.

. Sometimes the arm may rust and needs replacement.

OEM inserts are best - left side P/N 85214-50100, right side 85214-50061, should be $5-7 each from any Toyota or Lexus dealer. I've changed the inserts just once in my 7 years of ownership and didn't notice any difference over the old inserts. Both old and new were equally smooth, quiet, and clear the windshield perfectly. I kept the old inserts as backup since they were just as good as new ones.

Need to change here in Florida as the sun, bugs, and elements destroy the blades at a faster rate. For the 7-8 bucks a blade to replace I don't even think about it. Besides, when I go to Lexus, the part's guy comes out to replace them for me! That's worth the replacement for the service. Lol

Not long ago I replaced my whole blade with a set of Rain-X Lafgitude. So far I really like them. They are more than the regular Rain-X blades but worth it IMO. The only slight negative is the way our driver side wiper arm is designed you can't put the little black cover over the piece that connects the arm to the blade so you can see the blue connection point. Not tthatbig of a deal though. I'm about to buy a set for my wife's Honda Pilot.

Oem blades are good and reliable but you should at least give the rain x expert fit a look. I always try different brands and models just to see whats out there. It's such an inexpensive piece that the cost between oem and others is a difference of a beer or two.

With that said I remember replacing these blades with oem when I bought the LS about 7 months ago. I replaced them with the expert fit blades 2 days ago. I'm certain these rain-x blades will last longer than those oem blades that I know we're new.

I've tried a couple different variants before I decided to just go with OEM. Yes OEM seems to be better, however no matter which type/brand that I've used I always seem to have streaks from my passenger wiper on the upper half of the blade. For instance, when the arm is sweeping up there are a bunch of lines of where the blade does not sweep smoothly across the glass. It has done this with every type of blade I have used. It's really bad when it snows as it starts to freeze in that area and I will have to pull over to clear it.

My used LS430 had some aftermarket wipers, and they were tall enough that the arm would hit the hood. I switched back to OE.
