Default Creaky windows

All 4 of my windows are creaky when fully rolled up. I have to ever so slightly push down on the window switch for all 4 of them to keep them from creaking. I initially thought it was time to shin etsu again. But after reapplying I noticed it had zero effect on the noise. So then I tried some of that silcone spray all along the window seals. That made no difference either. Any thoughts on what may be causing this and how I might attack it? It's pretty annoying.

Did you remove the panels when you treated the seals? If not that could be the issue.

The door panels, the window channels run the full length of the door. So your only conditioning the upper portion without removing the panels.

Rubber window channel creaked in my car also. Applying shin etsu grease along the top did not help me either. But I pulled down the rubber channel and greased under side of it. My creak was coming from between top of the channel and window frame. Give it a try. I used to roll my window down to calm the creak. Not any more.

Good to know. How did you pull down the rubber channel? Did you need to remove anything else to be able to pull it down? I don't want to break anything accidentally.

Rubber strip can be just pulled down. Then snaps right back in place. No worries. 15min job for all windows.

Great tip! The creaking was driving me nuts until I greased the underside of the rubber channel. Creaking is gone! Thanks.

I made a first pass and cleared up most of my creaking. It was a rushed job on a cold day. Not ideal. Needs a 2nd pass for sure, but still much improved. Thanks for the tips!
