How many miles have you driven your LS430 purchased fall 2016?
We took delivery on 10/1/16, and coming up on 3k....OUCH!! This car was purchased as a DD/beater, and it is too nice to be called a beater! I think, it's wholesale value is higher than the 335i.
My buddy is telling me to get a car cover, the moonlight pearl is too nice to be left outside! I say to him, but how would I do this, you mean take a cover off and on, daily? And he is saying yes......
Well, since the car has been put through every driving scenario, stop/go for an hour at a time, highway, combined, etc., my gut feeling is it's in fine shape at almost 84k.....

I think it's in fine shape. The cover would introduce new issues with rubs and scrapes and pressing the dirt into the paint while taking the cover off/on. I don't think it would be worth it. Just put it in the garage ...

hehe therein lies the problem....we have a one-car garage, and that is reserved for the garage queen, the 2007 335i!

Bought 9/1. It's spent time in the shop (different tires, various neglected items) but I've driven 1,700 miles. My 01 Base was great but have really enjoyed this 04 Sport and the manual shift option 6. Very different car but still an LS.

Bought October 21 and have roughly 850 miles on her. Would have more but its been held hostage in my sister's garage for almost a week now while I work on one of her cars...

Oh yeah as far as what was fixed from the used car lot (new car dealer)......driver door lock actuator discovered after the fact, dealer fixed for free....front brakes OEM rotors/pads/bolts/sensor (now I realize if I had to pay, to get a $8 sensor not OEM), The following done by me: high mount bulb (they passed it for a NYS inspection without!), 12V fuse for front power outlet, hood and trunk struts, continuously torqued wheel lug nuts multiple times @ 76 ft. lbs., topped off coolant but subsequently had dealer do replacement and brake flush; eBay 2016 nav disc, wiper blade pivot adjustment, Mobil 1 with WIX oil change, Michelin Xice Xi3's on rims waiting for me to put on....purchased missing tool kit eBay $45....cabin air filter, checked engine air filter and was new, pulled fuse for tilt wheel (telescope weak), put floor mat hooks back, bought $41 mats and have 3 more sets @ $15 coming lol
I feel the way I did with the Maxima about this car. Don't seem to be concerned about approaching 84k...with the Maxima it was 60, 70, 80, 100, 120, 140, 170, 190, 200 (celebration), 210, 220, 230, 240, wanted 300 but emissions problems struck......one advantage the LS will have is corrosion imho. And I hope it helps that the car was in FLA for the first 8 years...

Considering I'm hitting oil changes every 5-6 weeks (5000 mile interval) I think I've probably driven at least 3K since October 1st, if not farther. Although I'm now taking a week off to go over to Europe, so the car can sit for a while...

Do you do a lot of driving for work....and what is your odometer at? I would normally consider 5000 miles excessive, but I realize Lexus has a 5k maintenance schedule so I'm ok with it.....even though I put synthetic I'll stick to 5k, though I bet the oil is good for more....with the Maxima I used dino juice through 200k, no problems, but in this day and age with rebates, one can get synth for on avg. $15 per 5 qt. jug and this car uses 5 which is nice. BMW takes 7 so more than 1 jug needed, and then one has to look for LL-01 approved if sticking to the rules (Mobil 1 lost it in 2015, just a money game)....

On average, about 600-700 miles. I did an oil change just before pulling the car out for it's winter daily driver duty and this time, plan to go 10,000 miles on the next change which would probably not arrive before the annual anniversary date. So oil will end up getting changed somewhere between 5,000 and 10,000 miles. But given results of laboratory oil testing, it seems I could go further.
I love this car in the winter. Warms up great. Stable on the roads. And REALLY comfortable to drive around sedately, which is what one should in winter to be safe anyway...

I picked my 06 LS430 up September 16 in the evening and have since put on around 1200 miles. The amount of miles driven is about to slow down. With winter/snow coming and this basically being my weekend driver it will most likely be sleeping in the garage for a couple months.

Mine will be the winter driver, and my 335i becomes the garage queen. I was gonna leave the snows off the 335i but I realized I can't as I need to take it in for inspection in Dec., and can't get into worrying about the temps (it has summer tires)....just plan on maybe even paying for a routine wash on the LS.

How's the RWD in snow.....I do have new snows on rims but hate the idea of putting them on when temps are still consistently 50-60F....what would happen if the LS is in snow with A/S tires....bad??! I've always felt that once moving, RWD is pretty darn good when it has 4 snows. But of course AWD should be superior in stop and go and snow. But many (incl ourselves) do not mount snows on our AWD SUV, we just keep in mind AWD does not mean invincible (been fine for 5 yrs.).....
Need to burn off the tread this winter as I am now both outdated and clearly nearing the edge of what is considered optimal winter tread depth.

Yeah, I commute from Milwaukee down to O'Hare 5 days a week. It's 74 miles each way. I'm at 139,150 as of this morning when I got to work. I'm now due for an oil change, so I'll be taking it in next week. Lexus charges 57.00 dollars for the oil change. They check all the fluids and that includes a thorough cleaning, so I'm content with having them do it. If I was changing the oil, it would be 25-28 for the oil and filter, 20 bucks for the car wash and interior vacuum, and a couple bucks for the tip. I could do it but it's just easier to have them do it.
