Because I'm not an obnoxious a-hole? We have laws in place for a reason so that a-holes don't make living uncomfortable.

In the world i came from in Baltimore, they called that a snitch and youd have been the guy moving out of the neighborhood not the guy you ratted out lol. Nobody likes a tattle tale or the neighborhood cry baby aka rat. Its one thing if the laws are there for sex offenders, theft, destruction of property etc but to make a big deal out of some guy whose truck is too loud sums up the personality type you are. Throw in a set of ear plugs if it wakes you up, you dont create a neighborhood scene over it. The fact you are on a car enthusiast forum quoting exhaust regulations and HOA by laws is beyond out of place to me. But to each his own. I put on my big boy pants one leg at a time and mind my own business.

Bmore , was nice to see you over on the corvette forums

Your 430 and your Z are super clean

I love the polar opposite personalities of these cars.......The LS, so quiet, so refined and smooth...and the Z...so raw , sporty and fun to drive.

I am on my second C5 right now, my first one was a 2000 FRC, fun to drive and great introduction to the model, but my second one is a whole different car altogether

02 Z06 (supercharged)

Paired with my new 460L, such a blessing to own both, I'm very grateful

Bmore- that is a really beautiful LS. Looks like it was freshly detailed before the pic you posted. One of my neighbors has a friend with a super-clean black LS with the 18" rims exactly like yours. It's one of a few (including yours in the pic) black LS's I've seen at this point in the car's life that still looks immaculate. Almost makes me want to ditch my silver LS for one..... almost. I owned a black car when I was 18- kept it for 2 years and swore that would be the last one. But when they are clean, there's nothing that looks better.

The LS deserves a garage companion that's the polar opposite of the LS... i went with an Audi S5 (V8, 6 speed manual, no mods) to complement my LS430. While not nearly as fast as what you have, it definitely scratches my itch for driving experience. Cheers,

I really appreciate the diversity of interests in cars here. In our household, with the addition of the LS, 2 cars are from Japan, one from Germany, and one from the USA. I find that the other forums tend to be narrower, one bashes foreign cars, the other seems to disavow the reliability of Japanese cars lol

Silver and Flint Mica were actually my first color choices when i was looking for an LS. Thank you for the compliments on mine. The black is a full time job keeping clean. Im due for a paint correction to get some swirls and minor inperfections out. Drives me insane under direct sunlight lol. I love those Audi S5s. awesome body style on them. you have a nice pair of cars.

I agree many forums are very narrow minded. I love all cars. Ive had Cadillacs, Mustangs, Hondas, Camaros,Firebirds etc. If it looks good or is fast Im into it. I must say the LS is the nicest driving car ive ever owned by far.

***** I love that Silver Z06. Ill have to pick your brain on that blower when im ready to make that jump. Mine has a huge MS4 cam so the low end is a little sluggish but screams up to 7k rpm. I heard the maggie is the way to go for my cam to get the off idle torque and power under 3k back.

Flint Mica is a great color. What is a "paint correction"? I've got some minor scratches that I'd like to take care of. Yeah your LS looks great. It's cool that after all the cars you've owned (and have), still see the LS as the nicest drive. I've owned many cars but never one that I invented reasons to drive.

Paint correction is just the detail term for wash, clay, compound, polish and seal to remove all defects in the paint.
