I got a 17" package consisting of Michelin Xice Xi3's 225/55-17 with MSW Type 14 rims, $973 less $50 rebate. No shipping as I picked them up from the D center.

A 16" package is being advertised, 225/60-16 with Sport Edition A8's for $807, no rebate unfortunately. Apples to apples the savings by going 16 is $166. I'm vain I guess, I think 17's look small on the car as it is, so I prefer the 17's and am ok with $973 - $50 = $923. Truth be told, that's nearly a grand, though, not chump change. But I think it's worth it.

I'm sure you're going to appreciate the Blizzaks when the roads are covered... Fantastic traction

I'm still waiting for some snow to try the LS out. What's gonna be a shame is the salt on the car, but that's why I bought it....it just seems that in reality, we can't get it washed as often as we like, or it goes days upon days of precipitation so we don't since it'll only get more salt after the wash. Sorry FLA car, I bet you miss the days at the Naples Country Club.....

(just had a random thought, what if the orig owner is here on the forum? You jerk, I bought that car for over $60k, took care serviced it at the dealer, and pampered it down here in FLA. Now you're gonna drive it in the Northeast all through the winter and you call it a beater, are you joking? Thanks for fixing the cupholder, though, sorry about that.)

I know what you mean. Our 2005 was originally a Texas car and spent it's entire life in/around Dallas. I buy it, it gets shipped up to Wisconsin and now I'm having to wash it once a week to keep the salt build up off of it. It didn't even have AS tires installed down there. Talk about no traction in snow.... Much better now with the Winter tires installed.

Even though it really isn't, I mentally think of my car as being new, avoid dings, park far away.....ignore the one that was there before....for all I know the car has been garaged its entire life, and now, no more! My wife's 2011 has never seen a garage. My buddy said before you get any new cars, make sure you have a 2 or 3 car garage (only 1 now)....

btw how about those Wisconsin Badger women (ice hockey)?? If I lived up there, I'd be going to the games just because it's so cheap and I love hockey....just had my wife's niece and nephew over from Kenosha.....to me, home of Snap On tools and Frank's Diner!
