Key is Different
#16
Figured it out: "Key is different" means key has not been matched to steering column lock. In main screen of techstream can register key going to: steering column - utility. This will allow the key to be inserted in ignition to start car. To register the key so the buttons work is done from main menu in theft deterrent - utility. There are two different places in the main menu you have to go and register keys. Have a blessed day!!

doing it again, reposting same question over when posted already!

That's bizarre. I used the search function in the 2nd Gen NX Thread and posted this there. So I thought. To be fair, you moved my post about this on the NX thread to the RX thread. That doesn't serve the purpose of querying the many more with the NX who have the same software to see if the "close and lock" button works. I understand your desire to limit new threads, but by moving my thread that's appropriate for both NX and RX only to RX, you've defeated what we readers are wondering about.

Stop the spamming.

I apologize for the accidental post in the LS forum. But please don't remove my post in the NX forum about the "close and lock" hatch button. Yes, I have the RX, not the NX, but the NX has had this for a year earlier and it makes sense to see if it's working in there.

It’s not the same model Darryl and you are bumping posts unrelated to that topic. It’s a different model and often works differently. That’s why we have individual model forums.
I’m asking you to stop spamming the forums with the same questions over and over. Stop bumping unrelated posts with the same question you’ve already posted. Post in the correct model forum.

Look, I'm not trying to be an orifice. But I'd like to ask the NX owners if any have issues with the Digital Key and the "close and lock" hatch button. Can I do that even though I don't own an NX? Can I start a new thread, or will that be annoying? Can I add to an existing thread, or might my question not be exactly the same as the original question about the NX Digital Key or hatch, and that is deemed annoying?
How do you want me to do this?

Yes Darryl, it’s annoying and it’s against our forum guidelines. You’ve posted this same question 4 times now, similar to past questions you’ve had with the same issue.
You’ve already asked the question in the correct forum and you already have an answer to your question from an NX owner in your thread in the RX forum last night, yet you keep asking it
please stop posting it all over the place in the incorrect model forums and on unrelated threads. Use your existing thread to get your answer
