Default what was this tech at the tire shop thinking?!

I have no idea why I would have marked the tire on the outside! Look how bad my rim is thanks to a previous owner--it caught my glove and ripped it open it's so rough. Moved the front to the back.

Maybe RF stands for "rough"? As in the edge of the rim??

Hey, what's that in your trunk??

Just a thought...

hahahahaha you mean the original spare tire rim in mint condition, with the grease markings from the factory in Tahara Aichi in Sept. 2005.....that's gonna add authenticity, when someone finds this car in a barn 40 years from now!

Like I said, just a thought... My car came with the goofy 16 inch wheels, which is what I have for a spare. Yes, it's a 16 year old Dunlop on a pristine rim..

If I ever need a spare wheel, it'll look a little strange against my fancy new rims...

It hurts down deep to see a rim looking like that

Oh yeah one 16 and three fancy rims. Rear wheel placement. Great combo. It would be an "interesting" ride.

I also noticed now that I've taken a closer look at my summers/OEM rims, there are some really big weights on them. Dunno if it's out of necessity, or the tech who balanced the tires was on a low budget? My guess is the tires were sold at Mavis, because that's who carries Rydanz where I bought the car (north Jersey/NYC). It's so subjective but now the steering feels a tad heavier when maneuvering in the driveway, and it's really smooth on the highway. Could there be truth that the winters are balanced improperly? That's what the indie said, but he only redid the 2 fronts for free. They were ordered online. Maybe the person who did them was having a bad day at the distribution center?
