Hi everyone. New guy here.
I need to add a 6 pin trailer harness and am looking for the best place(s) to tie in to trigger the different lights. I found the helpful "where are the wiring harnesses" illustration here (thanks BC Rider) but hope to find the next level of detail.I could use any sage advice you can spare on good places to access triggers for left, right, stop, and markers lights, what color wires I'm looking for, where to run to the outside, etc.
I figure I'll get the hot power by adding another fused wire to run off the input to the rear fuse panel. I hope there's a good ground there, too, haven't dug into it. FYI, the hitch is the Curt 1 1/4" receiver version made for the LS430. I mounted it for a bike rack, didn't bother with wiring when I did that. I have a Tailwind motorcycle trailer that weighs only ~220 pounds. It's the only thing I'll pull, and with little load in it. I will fuse the hot wire at the start of the run but don't want to bother with an isolating harness because the Tailwind has onboard isolators.
