Have Premiers on 17's. It's a pretty soft ride. Plan to try the Pilot Sport A/S on 18's. I think it may be a good combo for the sports suspension.

It's supposed to be against the law to sell and mount tires that are not capable of the speed rating of the car.

According to the web, Defender T+H come in 17" for the LS430, and are H rated. That meets the capability of the vehicle.

imo, an analogy to the Pilot Super Sports being deployed on a LS430. It's like walking into a golf store or ski shop, and telling them you're new to the sport, and they sell you expert equipment. You can still use it, but you'll pay more, it will make it more difficult for you to participate in the respective sports, and a "pro" should steer you into equipment that matches your skill and use level. That's just the way I look at it. They shouldn't be upselling for the sake of making money. There are trade offs for everything, so putting this tire on a LS430 definitely does that. It's more than being unable to drive at 37F and below, maybe a person lives in FLA and it's never that cold, or, they have snow tires. Just doesn't match the vehicle characteristics...just an opinion, ymmv
