Nope, you are talking about a different light/button. Yes, there is a button on he storage drawer. Its obvious. It is ON THE DRAWER about 2" below the mirror adjustment and to the left. BUT there is a yellow light about 1/2" directly below the mirror adjustment, on the SAME panel that the sdjustment switch is on, that is ONLY a light that comes on when the ignition is on and goes off when the ignition is off.

I finally figured it out. It is a orange/green LED that indicates the status of the RADAR detector. When its Orange its low sensitivity for city driving. When its green its High sensitivity for Highway driving and when it is off the radar detector is off. Its not in the manual because its a "Dealer Installed feature". Probably not a lot of cars came with it new because its an expensive accessory., over $2000.

I'm not surprised with the Lexus dealership offering a hard-wired Radar Detection System... I'm sure it was well over 2K when installed...

Post a few pics when you have a moment...

That's pretty cool. When I was a teenager in the 80's-90's I always wanted a 'built in' radar detector instead of one hanging from the windshield! Unfortunately, similar to the LS's NAV, that radar detector technology is undoubtedly obsolete. I'd love to see pictures also, including the manufacturer name and where they mounted the antenna in the grille/air dam, etc?!

OK, here are the two pictures. The light is just below the mirror switch and the controls are just under the gas cap release.

I had one of these radar detectors installed in my 400. It was K40 UN 3000 These are basically old models and not good for use these days since the troopers use much better technology. You most likely have 2 diffusers or whatever they are called. 1behind the front bumper and 1 under the back bumper.
