Default TIS vs Hardcopy Service manual(s)??

I'm looking for general opinions or experiences of using
  • TIS without the hardcopy manual
  • TIS with the hardcopy manual
  • hardcopy manual only
I'm partial to hardcopy tech manuals at work but I went through the TIS tutorial and it seemed pretty awesome with a good interface - and the two-day subscription seems pretty reasonable.
I was thinking I would use it in conjunction with a hardcopy manual but before shelling out for the manual I thought I would ask here and see if there was any kind of consensus.
One nice thing about the hardcopy is you can leisurely peruse it while drinking a beer in the shade on the hammock.

Thnx,
Bill

I don't think anyone offers the hard copy manuals anymore. I like them too but they get out of date and are expensive to produce. Have you seen one or are you just hoping?

I've seen manuals for sale online. As far as I could tell they were correct - the right part number (?). Two volumes for the service manual and another for the wiring diagrams.
