Interior lights and when they should be on?
Hello
I have here in Finland 2005 LS430 with air suspension but without UL-package. I have got many good tips from this forum. Also I have got to know of many interior lights in LS 430 but I havent seen those working in my car. So, when sould be these ON and is there also something else hidden lights?
Door handle lights
Driver side (left) leg room
Passenger side leg room
Center console lights

Perhaps the light switch in the overhead console is set to off? From our manual...
To turn on the interior light, slide the switch.
With the switch in the “DOOR” position, the light comes on
when any doors are opened or when the ignition switch is
turned to “LOCK”. After all the doors are closed, the light
remains on for about 15 seconds and then goes out.*
However, in the following cases, the light goes out
immediately:
1. All the doors are closed when the ignition switch is in “ACC”
or “ON” position.
2. The ignition switch is turned to “ACC” or “ON” when the light
is still on.
3. All the doors are locked when the light is still on.
4. One door is closed with the lock button pushed in while the
other doors are locked.
NOTE:
* The interior lights can be set not to come on or the duration
of lighting can be changed.
Ask your Lexus dealer for details.
P.S. Just noticed that the words "ignition switch" got automatically turned into a link for eBay??? Don't know how that one happened. Mods???
