I just reacquired my 2004 LS 430. I purchased this from the original owner in 2007 with 9,000 miles. It is white/grey and has the sport suspension. I had a 2001 LS 430 an d a 1999 LS 400 prior to this. In 2014 I bought a 2010 LS 460 with the Sport Package that had 8,800 miles. I sold my 2004 LS 430 that had 44,000 miles to a good friend and classmate of mine who had also purchased my LS 400. Fast forward to July of this year. My friend who purchased my 2004 LS 430 approached me and said he would like to purchase my 2010 LS 460 for his wife and would I be interested in a possible trade back for my 2004 LS 430. The LS 430 had 62,000 miles and the LS 460 had about 22,000 miles on it. I really enjoyed driving the 460 for 3 years. It had good power and had some features the 430 didn't have. I have 2 relatives and 1 friend who are Lexus technicians and they said it was a no brainer. That the 430 was a much more trouble free and reliable.I have all maintenance history on the 430 and it has had all the scheduled services done using Mobile 1, has always been garaged, and has had sheepskins on the seats since 9,000 miles. Like I said I enjoyed driving the LS460 but am really glad to have my Ls 430 back. It won't be going anywhere. I also have several other vehicles to drive so the miles should stay relatively low.

So with the 460 still fresh in your mind, what can you tell us is different in terms of driving them? Smoothness, road/wind noise, handling? Anything that stuck out to you?

Thanks for all the nice comments and replys. It's good to be back and back in my 430. The 460 was just a little sportier to drive and a little more responsive with the DI engine, 8 speed trans, paddle shifters ,adj suspension and Brembo brakes. However the car is noiser(wind and engine noise), at about 12000 miles the right front shock (air suspension) went out and was very $$$. Car was out of warranty because of age not miles. It was a very nice car, but just doesn't seem to be as well built as the LS 430. I'm very lucky to have a Porsche turbo to drive if I want to get into something sporty. Again It's great to have my 430 back.

And I also agree with your other observation. If you want something sporty, buy a sports car. The full-size luxury car trying to be sporty just doesn't work for me.
What year/model Porsche turbo do you have?
