Exclamation Is this gap acceptabele?

Yesterday made the same topic and some writings but it got lost when i posted it... some kind of message that it would be confirmed by the admins... anyway that was yesterday...

I found my perfect LS after 2 years of search. But is has this gap in the chrome strip with this passenger door? It seems that he door when i look at the chrome strip under the window, it looks like its a few mm lower. The brochure of the LS says that the LS is made with extreme precision by the thousands of an inch.

Is this acceptable or could this been an old repairing or an old damage? I need to be quick with my desision otherwise ill have to search for a few more years because these cars are very rare here in Europe... btw the car is located 1200 miles away.

Many thanks for your reply's.

Could possibly be the reflection. Had to zoom in to really see what you're talking about. You might ask for photos from a different angle.

Also noticed the signal light on the fender... glad we don't have those in the USA. Just looked at a Celsior, apparently they are standard in Japan too...

Thanks for your reply. I am really talking about the chrome strip under the window of the passengerdoor. Its just a bit lower then the back door. Are we talking about the same?

Here are the rest of the pictures. Please let me know what you think of it. I really want to get a perfect example to make it 100% mint like a museum piece.

Has the car been in an accident? The paint on the door looks to have some orange peel and the mirror looks like it has been scraped up. Also, look where the chrome strip meets the front fender, looks like there is a gap there... never mind, just looked at mine and the gap is correct. It can be so hard to tell due to picture quality...

Honestly, it looks pretty clean but it's hard to say without being there in person to look it over from every angle and really put your hands on it. If the price and mileage are fair, I wouldn't let this steer you away from it... especially if these cars are hard to find in your country.

I notice that the CD player has been replaced with a Pioneer Stereo unit.

I will repeat my opinion and advice I wrote in your other thread - pass on this car.... Find another.... I realize that your choices of used LS430s is slim in your home country but this car looks like trouble....

Thanks Roma, Jay and Duck.

I decided to let the car go. Its not only a hassle to go pick the car up. Its just not clean and good enough.

Hope to find a better one soon. Importing from the USA is impossible because its about 8.000 to 10,000 dollars total incl taxes to have the car on the driveway with plates etc.
