funny side to your story, I thought my driver side tweeter was going bad, but turned out to be the navagation trying to give a voice command, but I had the voice turned down. problem solved itself when I reached the destination and never put in another. self inflicted misery on my part for sure

ya I saw that. Many others list it as discontinued so they may have not updated their website yet, you may be able to order but they may cancel the order when they can’t obtain it. Notice it also doesn’t say “in stock” either. I’m not looking to pay over $600 for two speakers before labor. My post really was about the installation difficulty though…
It's 100% in stock and still being manufactured.....just take the glove box out as well as the plastic for the steering column and replace the speakers and call it a day.

Amayama shows stock. But there is no reason to pay $200/tweeter find one with about the same form factor and hack it into the Lexus housing.

I wish it were that simple. This is a 2 way fancy ML speaker which bounces off the windshield. Changing from OEM would change the sound and potentially damage the touchy amplifier. I agree with you on the price and think that $300 per speaker is crazy. I think my best bet is a used part at this point.
