I am looking at a Cypress Pearl on Grey interior ls430 with 103k miles. This is my refered option package due to the failures with the ML amp, NAV unit, ect. The car looks like it was driven highway and was a company vehicle. Minor cosmetic issues are present inside and out. Nothing that can't be touched up or scrubbed out.

When does the timing belt get changed via Lexus dealer service?

All services at Lexus dealership

Transmission was replaced at 7k miles. Lemon possibly?

There asking $9,950 for it. What would be my best offer price? Has been on market 85 days.

Nice color combo. That grey looks nice on the cypress.

T belt is typically 90-110k ish.

List price at 9950 for 85 days, they’d be foolish not to take 9k. Maybe less.

There was a recall on the tranny for the early 2004 models after a handful of issues. I think all of the cars produced before January 2004 had their tranny replaced under warranty. So, I wouldn’t use that as an indicator of it being a lemon.

Good choice. Fewer expensive repairs. Per my previous comment, easy to upgrade stereo and add state of the art high resolution screen NAV. Is it a dealer or private sale?

I'm thinking I'd offer $8500 and buy a 3 year warranty on it just in case. I don't see any mention of the timing belt in the car fax service.

I would check and make sure all the body lines line up and if you can try to peak under the plastic shrouds in the engine bay. Also check for any over spray in the engine bay or the entire car just my opinion.
