17" Rims for winters
Hi everyone, I just acquired a Toyota Celsior which is the jdm version of the ls430. I need some 17" winter rims and i'm having trouble because of the immense size of the front calipers. Anyone have any insight to the size of the caliper? any recommended wheels to go with that are known able to clear, or should just about any 17" alloy work?
I found a set of 17" Infiniti G35 rims for sale for a good price and was wondering if anyone knows if they fit. I found a forum post saying that they fit the GS300.
Thanks

I apologize, after further searching I have figured out the g35 wheels will not fit. Still looking for suggestions as to other 17" wheel options.

I got the MSW Type 14's last year for $112 USD....they are 17x8 so a little wider than optimal on a 225/55 tire, but they work just fine as they have a 45mm offset. They are very good knock around rims, pretty sure you're going to see them on all kinds of different cars if you google them...there are also a bunch of rims with 42mm offsets. Shame there don't seem to be any acceptable 18" rims, so we have to do the minus 1.
hmmm I stand corrected, seems to be one 18" rim with a 45mm offset (below the 17" link)
edit p.s. I know if I saw that last year I would have been tempted to stick with 245's and 18's. But after getting stuck in the mud recently, skinny and tall is really the way to go ideally. Also, imho avoid the Xice Xi3's if you can, they are very very noisy. I'd try Continental Wintercontact Si's if I could redo...seems like if one is into numbers and test results, the Bridgestone WS80s spank the Xice Xi3s.
