No sunroof?

Sunroofs for a daily driver are fine but they inherently reduce the structural rigidity of the chassis. It’s becoming common for sports cars to be optioned with sunroofs since at least in the US the percentage of drivers that are capable of pushing the chassis to its limits isn’t high. I open road raced(average speed 120, max around 157) a sunroof equipped sports car a few years back and it rattled soon after the race. I had it fixed and never opened the roof again for fear of the rattle returning. With the LS430 I don’t see the point of pushing the vehicle so sunroofs are acceptable.

My 2002 had to be custom ordered(eight weeks) to get with no sunroof. Only options I wanted were heated seats and 17 inch wheel(much more attractive imho). Dealer said no sunroof would hurt resale. I explained that it would not be sold, he gave me a look of sure it won't. It is still mine with 127k and it is still the car I wanted and waited for 18 years ago.

These were on display in the lobby of the GX/Land Cruiser factory we toured in April 20, 2018. After noticing that these high trim package RC and LS did not have
sunroofs we began to look at cars on the Japanese streets. Turns out the JDM does not seem to have much demand for holes in the roof!

Another reason for not having a sunroof is headroom.
Sunroof mechanisms, especially electric ones, are up to 4" thick
In the LS this is not an issue at least not for my 6'4" :-)
Would not having one put me off buying a car? No?
I recently travelled in a Peugeot that had an all glass roof (tinted) and I hated it.
Even with the tint, the sun is constantly in your eyes and all you can see apart from that is (tinted) sky.
