So that's why the LED's on the running lights blind oncoming traffic...because they run at full power. I wonder if there is just a "white" bulb that eliminates the yellow look on those daytime running lights. Will HID take care of that problem....6 vdc until I turn on the brights?

I went with a set of Osrams CBI 55k bulbs from retrofit source and a set of 55k HID bulbs (kit) as well they match perfectly. It was a night a day difference from OEM. They also put me onto a website that sells LED bulbs that will work in our high beams DRLs. It is set to work just as the OEM bulb but will be a crisp white. Then they are bright as all outdoors when used at full power. I just can't find the email with the link. I don't think you need LEDs but a good upgraded HID retrofit kit with some TSX-R projectors and you will love driving at night.

The LS430 Daytime Running Light, or the "yellow looking dull light" as you mentioned, is generated by sending reduced power (6VDC) to the high-beam headlight bulbs. The HID or LED replacement for the high-beam will work on full power (high-beam on) but will not likely to work on half power as DRL. You can turn off the DRL function with TechStream if you decide to move forward with HID or LED high-beam.

LED is not the best
resarch have been conducted and found most OEM LED headlight not safe as thy don’t give the required elimination to see at night. Google it.
Plus each type of light housing is designed to work for a specific light type. The refluctor, projector lines. If you install a HID Into Halogen or vise versa the beam coming from the head light will be scattered. As the light focal point and the beam pattern from the bulb is defrent. The same goes into installing LED in a non LED housing.
