just wanted to run the maint reset
by you fellas....is there any detriment to resetting the maint when you haven't done the maint?
Meaning, I'm resolved to go at least 6,500 miles between oil changes....I track this through the info screen. So I just went 5,014, and the triangle is up. If I simply reset it now, can I also reset it say 1,500 miles from now, again? I suppose it doesn't really matter because 5k is out of sync with my interval of 6,500. With some cars you cannot just keep resetting the maint reminders, until they are say 80% towards the end, and the computer tracks these resets and they are seen with a laptop...so do I live with the triangle, or get rid of it is the question...

Gotcha, and on some other cars you can adjust the interval out with the laptop too....since I track with the info screen, I figure why have a triangle on all the time for 1,500 miles....thx
