Dashboss
Has anyone successfully used the Dashboss hardware & IPhone application on a 2004 LS430? The vehicle is supported according to Dashboss but unlike my 2013 Cadillac CTS-V (sold) I can’t get the gateway to connect. The Bluetooth connects but the second blue light (gateway) isn’t. If you are unfamiliar with Dashboss just go to their website. You can record & clear DTC’s but also monitor real time data (RPM, coolant temp, short & long term fuel trims, Intake air temp; etc.). The “alarm” functionionality was extremely helpful. For example, you could set an alarm to blink at you if you experienced “KR” therefore knowing to back out of the throttle to avoid potential engine damage. I am going back and forth with their helpful support person but it might just be the new IOS for the IPhoneX. Thanks.

I shipped the Dashboss back to IMiken in Colorado to check out and refurbish/replace. Their tech support is great & they decided the device issues were unusual and it would be better to send it in for service. I’ll update everyone when it’s resolved & hopefully attach a test run file so you can analyze the results (export to Excel).. I believe ‘04 was the first year for a Can Bus controller on the LS so theoretically there should be more “precise” engine management if all the electronic capabilities were utilized. I’m looking forward to monitoring certain parameters especially KR. I suspect I will see small amounts of knock in a run file, likely at tip-in or deceleration on 93 octane! Has anybody been monitoring with a different application like Torque Pro(Android)?
