I have an '04 LS430 and until this morning I was using the original DVD. It correctly showed where I was, but about a year ago when I used the destination feature to find an address the system would point me to cities and states other than where I was. If I input my city, the system could not find it. If I used nearest 5 cities my city would not be included in the list.

So I thought I'd update the DVD and replaced it this morning with a 2016 version. The install was easy and like before it correctly shows where I am on the map. Sadly, like before, the system still does not recognize my city when I try to input it, nor does it recognize neighboring cities.

What gives?

So all on its own and unbeknownst to me the system changed and set the default region to the opposite coast. Changed the region back to where I am and problem solved.
