I'm having an annoying problem since I bought my LS430, It's 2001 Ultra, made 120.000 miles .. BUT.. My fuel gauge is always on empty, I've then bought a fuel float and a sending unit, installed them (it was easy though), but the issue is still the same, Even when i'm trying to move the floater attached stick, the gauge should jump up and down accordingly. but that's not happening also.... So I suspect it's a wiring or a fuse issue? maybe?
So, Anyone can lead me please on where I can find the fuel gauge wires or the fuse for it... ( tried to check the mantainance manual... but it was not that easy to understand

Thanks for the response
I've checked all the related topics actually, including that one.. But as I stated.. I changed both fuel sending units with no go.. and their connectors look super fine though..

as far as I can see from my daily usage. no issues or alerts at all (apart from that gauge issue).
EDIT : bear with me guys, please. as I wanna do this on my own.. as the maintenance garages here are not familiar at all with the LS, and I don't want anyone to screw up my car...

Also another thing to check, a very easy one to do, check if your fuel tank is or isn't damaged. One of the company cars (01 Toyota Echo/Yaris) had a decent dent in the fuel tank, and that was in such a spot that it affected the fuel float, and kept it reading on empty. It would move down just a smidge further to throw the low fuel warning light but wouldn't get any higher than a fraction off the E-line

Many thanks guys.. I got it fixed finally.
The issue was from the plug that is going to the Fuel pump on the rear driver side, it was kinda dirty/rusty.. Haven't thought it would be that easy and simple

Hope you kept the two old fuel sending units you replaced, since most likely nothing is wrong with them.
