True unicorn?
Just came across this add: https://www.carsforsale.com/vehicle/details/39996716
No pictures yet but according to description
it is a 2006: not that rare
it is a 2006 UL: quite rare, only 101 made
it is a 2006 UL with PCS: very rare, perhaps 25 made
it is low milage 2006 UL with PCS: super rare, perhaps 5 left
it is low milage 2006 UL with PCS in white: perhaps 1 left
The bean counters will say it is "expensive" - well, a true unicorn should cost a premium.

And... IN, is not one of those friendly climates you prefer to get a vehicle from... Watch for rust. And yes, price is high.
From a Lexus standpoint, could very well qualify as a Unicorn if it is indeed close to immaculate condition, with all the service records showing work performed on time.

My guess is that the stated ad color is erroneous and that the car is, in fact, silver with a black interior. For about 2 months, a loaded '06 UL with similar mileage was listed for sale on the Evansville, Indiana, CL. I was in touch with the owner in late November/early December. Initially, she was asking $15,995 and then reduced it to $14,995. Claimed 10 year ownership, no TB replacement, and original paint except one quarter had been repainted due to a scratch. Documented service history was scant.
At the time, I told the owner that if it got to the point where it could be bought for between 11 and 12, to let me know. About a week ago, she sent a text offering to sell it for $12,800. Having already purchased a different '06, I declined and within a day or two it vanished from CL.
Based on the photos, it was a very nice car - silver with chrome 18s and PCS. The windows were tinted, but otherwise the car was stock. It was located in a rural area well north of Evansville, not the most likely home for such a car.
Last point - I understand the claim that there were only 101 ULs in '06 and that it has a great source. However, I have seen enough for sale in just the past few months to raise doubts that the number was that low. If the advertised car is truly white, then there have been 2 "06 ULs for sale in SW Indiana in a very short time.
Edited to add: Just found the Carfax I ran on 12/5. The VIN matches that of the car on Evansville Kia's website. The car is silver.
