Question 2006 LS 430 New Suncore shocks

Gents,

I replaced my air shocks on my 2006 LS 430 with Suncore coil overs. Now the rear suspension is worse than on my 1994 Cadillac STS with worn out air shocks, every little bump makes it clunk and bang. Very un Lexus like. My car is in perfect shape otherwise and has every option. It has 120,000 miles. I love my car except it rides like a lumber wagon. I have recently done the timing belt and water pump. Does anyone have any suggestions to make it ride nicer? Maybe Strutmasters? The front and rear look like I have the ride height set to high, I am hoping it will settle down some later.

Thanks Will

Maybe you have the coils too low.

Thanks gents. Yes. These are Struts. And they rattle something terrible on rough roads. We got a 2' of snow here now so all of the streets are rough. I am really disappointed. Maybe I should get the Lexus OEM parts instead? The car sounds terrible. Much worse than before I changed them. And it rides much rougher. Does anyone know what I should do to fix the ride and the rattles?

I got some OEM used LS430 shocks and swapped out my air shocks.

Cheap, and rides like...a Lexus.

They're Monroe OESpectrum struts. If you remove the Suncore stickers, there is a Monroe sticker underneath. I bought some to get me by until I was able to buy some coilovers. The rear settled and then became too soft, bottoming out over speedbumps. The front looked like the air ride was on the high setting and after several months never settled because of the overly stiff springs. But for $359 shipped, they served there purpose as disposable struts. But anyone looking for a good replacement should avoid them because you do get what you pay for.
