It is, does wonders for extreme heat and coupled with tinted windows has the car a lot cooler when left outside in the blistering sun.

I also went with CoverCraft. It is thick and does a great job blocking out the sun and heat. The back side is a felt material and stays cooler than the reflected side which can burn your hand to the touch. It is quite pricey IMO at $60 for a sunshade, but it does seem to work well. I just wish it were possible to fold it up more compactly. It folds like an accordion but because it's a stiff styrofoam I have to prop it up against the front seat or back seat, for easy reach when I need it. The car seems to stay coolest if I also crack the windows an inch and tilt the moonroof, otherwise the interior still gets quite warm even with the sunshade and tint all around.

I use non branded wight colored fabric type. It's the 2 cerculer sprig loaded foldable type. I found the silver reflective type creates more heat than without using a shad. As it traps more heat in the care. I have the front fully tinted withe the transparent film.
I did not decide on witch one is better based measuring isttemunts. My only instrument was the heat of my pants .

PS: Location, Dubai,UAE AKA DESERT.

Default Sunshade recommendations?

can anyone recommend a windshield sunshade that fits well? have any pictures of it in the car? thank you all

specifically if you have pics of a 'custom fit' one in the car that'd be great!!

I bought one similar to this;

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Auto-Foldab...FXzXtP&vxp=mtr

I like it because they kind of twist up into small circles which fit inside a storage bag when not in use. The one I purchased has 2 sections that I put in the windshield and it covers the dash area very well. Additional shades fit into the side windows and keep even more sun out. AND, it wasn't very expensive..

those are very neat - i like the idea for the side windows especially!!!
I have a ~8$ walmart foldup sunshade for the front windshield that works O.K. covers almost the entire windshield upfront and keeps out basically all the sun - just very tedious to fold as it's a cheaper sunshade. it also does not cover the far window corners for the dash

was looking at one of these for the front:
Amazon Amazon

Those are nice, but in my opinion they take up too much room when folded up. The shade I use becomes small enough to fit in the door pocket, and completely out of the way.

I guess that would be a draw back. If I have back seat passengers, which is rare, I have them throw it up on the rear deck.

Got the same one and been using it for about 2 years.
Really like it. We store it in the trunk if room is an issue.

I received one from Covercraft a couple of days ago. It's very well made and fits good but for $70, it should fit perfect. There's a small amount of daylight that comes though the sides but the top to bottom fit is excellent. It does have a nice aesthetic to it compared to the custom roll up ones and definitely looks much nicer than the generic ones which I feel cheapens the look of any car even an old Lexus.

Funny---I bought a sunshade directly from a Lexus dealer online, Sewell, when they were still in business, and it's IDENTICAL to those sold at your listed site, except mine doesn't have the large autoheashield advertisement/logo on the outward facing (silver) side. Here I thought I was buying a Lex/Toy made in Japan OEM sunshade lmao

It does work and fit perfectly, no unsightly sagging, no accordian style folds or bends, and is the perfect combination of flexible yet firm. However, after 5+ years of use, the velcro strap has pulled off the sun shield. The 1 end of the velcro strap was simply glued to the sliver side and eventually, it was pulled off the edge of the sunshade and I now have a tacky line collecting lint, where the velcro used to be secured.. Kind of disappointing, because when stowing, I never rolled it up super-tight.. I haven't found a good way to re-glue the one side down. Superglue didn't stick to the silver, not to mention superglue is brittle when dry. I gave up with trying to re-secure the velcro and now simply use a medium duty rubber band when stowing it in the back seat during the summer time. In the winter, I bring it into the house and store it in the coat closet.

I use one like this and works well enough for me. I fold it up and tuck it in the passenger seat's back pocket.

I purchased a sunshade custom made for LS430's from Bell Lexus North Scottsdale on eBay. I am quite pleased with my purchase.
