Default 17x7.5j to 17x7j..just need a spacer??

I have 225/55/17 and was wondering is it just a question of adding a 1/2" spacer to fit a 17x7j wheel. The offset is 43mm if I recall. Sorry if it has been asked before but I find no answer to this question. Is it because it is such a dumb one to ask?

I add, I have looked at the caliper and it is under the 1/2" from inside the original 7.5j rim so am pretty sure the 7j wont fit unless adding a spacer. But is it a question of offset too?

The main concern will be caliper clearance. The width and offset won't be as critical, especially going smaller. Unless it is a hyperdisk wheel, you will need atleast the 1/2" spacer. I just put on Works, that are 18x8j, +42 offset, and A disk. Had to go with a 15mm spacer, and still hit the calipers under hard cornering. Do you know what disk clearance the new wheels are?

Where is that info on wheel for "disk clearance"? Just to say it is some 17" OEM 17x7j wheels from a chrysler 200 year unknown if that matters. I will add photo if I can..

My wheels were stamped with all the info, including disk clearance. Fronts are A disk, which is "normal" clearance. My backs are 9" low disk, and needed no spacer at all. Check and see what info is on the inside of the wheel.

Take a pic from the back side, that is your brake clearance. There should be a pretty big bump out from the front face to the hub face. If you already have the wheel, just test fit one of the fronts, and see how much caliper clearance you have. Mine wouldn't come close to bolting on without the spacer.

The photo is from the ad. I will contact them I guess. I actually asked if I could just simply bring my car and try for size. They were rather hesitant and also speak way more chinese than engrish.

I am pretty sure that all it will take is a simple spacer. In the meantime I will try and find the specs from chrysler. I found a finished ebay ad for some but little info. Time is running out though as first come first serve and I rather like the way they look for my silver ls430

They should fit no problem with a spacer.

Turns out it is OEM for the 300M Chrysler not the 200.
