Read the reviews on this. There were enough bad ones for me to scratch it off my list. If and when I upgrade my non-nav stereo, it will be with the Beat Sonic kit. There is a Beat Sonic rep on this forum who goes by the user name "BeatSonic". He or she is very responsive to any questions.

Have you checked this thread? https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls-...ll-w-pics.html
I really like the idea of leaving the stock stereo in place and running a hidden single DIN unit, but I am not sure about clearance issues with new stereos. I looked at several new Pioneer units (by brand of choice) and they all have a volume **** that protrudes from the face of the stereo to the point where I worry that the door wouldn't close fully. Kicked around trying one out, but I guess I would rather do a double DIN to run Android Auto...

The Crutchfield kit does not work. I bought it and had it installed at their Charlottesville location. I had to return it, order the Beatsonic, and make the 3 hour drive a second time. The Beatsonic kit works well, but it's only a 2 channel system - so your fader will not work properly (front/rear speakers are al the same). The other way to go is to buy an aftermarket amp, and bypass the factory amp altogether - and that would allow for 4 channels as well. I went with the Metra dash kit. It's OK, but it does not fit flush. The gap in the pic is not as obvious in real life.

No sound - the TOYO kit just does not interface correctly with the Lexus amp. Crutchfield got it to power up, as have others, but no sound was transmitted - save some off static.
It's not worth it - go Beatsonic or use an external amp.

Not Terrible to Install but its a but of hands on work :-)
I am just completing a 2005 Non Nav- Non ML double Din AVIC Pioneer install
-You need the beatsonic USA adapter $300 (they have a kit with Antenna conversion and bezel for dash) - but their bezel kit didn't have the extra pocket where the CD player sat.but like Metra's Bezel had the extra pocket shelf.
-You need to cut the plastic cross member behind the stereo (use osculating tool or coping saw/hacksaw blade)
-You need to run antenna/Camera to trunk (back seat/rear deck removal was simple but a PITA)
-I am finished w Stereo but still futzing to add an aftermarket backup camera too this time- that seems to be sort of ominous -
Some cussing but very rewarding!!!
