Do you find your 04-06 LS430 seats uncomfortable?
#31
You're right. This is a great deal. When they did the same on my old '06 several years ago it was $85-90.

Chances you're near NASHVILLE? I'm attending a wedding this month, and will be staying just outside of Nashville from April 19-22, and we're taking the LS. It will be about a 12 hour drive from northern Delaware.

The seats in my 00 ML, well, they are firmer than I'd expect from a luxury limousine. The drivers seat sucks. I'm a bit of a fat *****er (240lb) and on longer trips my back aches like nothing else. I had the same problem in my previous 2 Mondeos with leather Recaro seats as they were a tad firm as well. The plushest seats I've ever sat in were late 90's Mitsubishi Galant seats. They're like sitting in recliners, however the seats out of the Mk5 Ford Mondeo/Fusion don't look like they are very comfortable, but really, they are quite the opposite

My seats on my 2001 LS430 without a/c cooling are as comfortable as can be. No complaints what so ever. Is it possible that the non/a/c cooling seats are less prone to wear and tear? The leather on mine is still soft and smooth. Seat comfort is perfect. Can't complain here. Not sure if the a/c seats are made from a different leather than non a/c seats. Love my seats. Living room comfort!

Well, I have a simple solution to my uncomfortable driver seat.
In my instance, the seat cushion was about medium way in, with some of the leading edge of the seat providing a little bit of support under my thighs. For the last week, I've been driving with the seat extended much more, so that the leading edge of the seat bottom is almost underneath the bend of my knees. Result is the seat is more comfortable and I like the under-thigh support extending all the way to my knees! (I'm 5'10" with a 32" inseam)
For those of you who say your driver's seat is uncomfy, extend the seat if you can! This minor position changed worked for me. Don't get me wrong---it aint no La-z-boy by any means, but it provided enough of a change in what my glutes were touching, that I'd consider the seat "somewhat" comfortable instead of uncomfortable.

I don't think that they bottom is really that bad. After driving a little more I think it's the excessive lumbar even at it's lowest setting. I'm going to try to fill the void by putting something under the top half of my back.

Funny I actually did the opposite, I put the lower portion all the way in so most of the support is under the bum. However with them being vented I understand they can’t be as plush as most seats. My issue is just that, the seats just feels flat.
my seat now has developed a low spot in the inside rear right of the seat which gets annoying at times. Now I have to set more left to feel level and comfort.

I bit the bullet this week, and replaced the drives side seat cushion. The installation shop took about five hours, and added a little more foam. I was told about a half inch in the middle of the seat bottom which seems to suit me just fine! Now I’m loving the seats and the comfort. Seat cushion was around $150,and about the same for installation. For what it’s worth, the owner said don’t bother buying the seat if it degrades again. He can rebuild the top side and maintain the ventilation. Hope this helps others!

I just picked up my new to me 04 with 118K miles. I drove it two hours home. The seat was pretty comfy, but I also notice the passenger seat feels nicer. The bottom is not as flat as the driver side. Flat is probably not the right word to describe it correctly. I may need to look into seat cushion replacement if it bothers me. I will be driving 1K miles for vacation in the few weeks. That will be a good testcase.
