Love this car.
I'm wondering about this car a little bit. First off, never heard of this site (2040 cars) before, not that that's terribly unusual but if you go to the blog section you will see that the last entry is from November 2014. Another thing that I don't like about this site is that there is no information about the owner anyway to easily get in contact with him.

The other thing that strikes me as odd is that the pictures of the car are from 2013. I can tell you that there are no leaves on the trees up in Kohler Wisconsin right now. His plates expire in October and he has a 2013 validation sticker on his plate. I doubt that the car has been sitting in his garage that long.

So I went and registered the VIN number over at Lexus Drivers. The last entry is this one:

76397 MILES
DATE: 06/17/2014
REPAIR# 0549439
REPORTED BY:
SERVICE: BODY
DESCRIPTION: BODY ~ ~. ~ ~. ~ ~REPAIR PER ESTIMATE
SERVICE: STORAGE
DESCRIPTION: STORAGE ~ ~STORAGE OF VEHICLE ~ ~16 DAYS STORAGE ~ ~.

The big tell is this one: He states in his ad: "just completed 60,000 mile service check-up at Scottsdale Lexus." Well there is an entry for the 60K service at Earnhardt Lexus in Scottsdale that was performed April 4, 2014.

So in the end my bet is that this car is still a true unicorn...
