Picking up this 2005 LS430 on Monday. Driving 4 hours to pick-up the car. 118,000 miles, timing belt done at 91K, tires have 9K miles on them. It has 4 owners, but the history looks clean, and I was able to speak to the last owner who has had the car 5 years, and the last 50K miles. Paying $8500, so I think I am getting a good car/good deal.

A little off topic but relating to "first LS430" - did anyone in this forum ever claim to have "the first" or at least "one of the first" LS430 sold in the US?
Is it known whether the first batch imported was special in any way. e.g. colors, options, details.
What was the very first production date - 06/00? The last date I have noticed is 07/06.

From talking to other members around the world the LS was unique to each region it was sold in such as in scotland they had no sunroofs, Philippines they had everything a ultra luxury would have but no mark levinson or nav.
Congrats on your new purchase. What color is that? Briarwood? Looks too light to be Flint Mica and the dealer has it listed as Gold which is certainly isn't.

BTW, I love my hand painted pinstripe...
Thank Gronemus. Yes, it is Briarwood, which I wanted one of the less common colors. I'm not too worried about the pinstripe or wood accent interior. I kind of like both, but it is a personal preference, to each his own. I purchased it for comfort and reliabilty mainly. For style I have my 1997 4runner, all stock with 180k, that needs washed lol!
