Default moonlight 430 down

We were driving yesterday and saw this (sorry if it's yours)......looks like a moonlight pearl and the steering wheel tilts properly. I thought those wheels looked tiny, but probably 16" from '01-'03?

Ouch... hurts to see that. Especially a white one.

Yeah, the 16" wheels look tiny on this car. I see LSs with those wheels every so often and it just doesn't look right. Kinda like those casters on a kitchen chair..

The little blue car took a bunch more damage. Ouch. Hopefully nobody was hurt.

My 2001 LS has 16" wheels/tires. When my original rims (like in the photo above) were too beat up, I put a set of 02 wheels on.

They may look funny (to some), but my 01 takes bumps nicer than our 04 with 17" wheels/tires. The 04 is a much more polished car. Just beautiful, but I notice bumps more.

I actually like how the 16" look on my Millennium Silver. But, everyone is different.

Go on co-part or other auction sights and look at wrecked ls430's its amazing how messed up the outsides can be and the interior looks unscathed, but to johns post that sucks major looks like the car might be salvageable, but highly unlikely it looks as if the wheel was pushed in and the entire rack and pinion, subframe, etc is going to need to be replaced.

The 16's do look very tiny it does look off but to each there own.

The 18's fill the wheel well. The size looks good for big car. Hey if you like the 16's and they are comfortable, that's what counts.

On the wheels, to this day, I would never get a larger rim, if the tire is the same width. That adds unsprung weight. Back in 01-03, 16 and 17's had 225's. So actually, 16 is the smart man's choice!

By 04-06, however, the 18's had 245's, and the 17's 225's. So imho 18's made sense.

I don't understand why most X5's have the standard tires, instead of those phat 315's on the rear and 275's on the front. No sport package is 255's all around. That is a NO BRAINER!! Corvette tires on a SUV, sweet!

This makes me sick, brings back memories of my car. I doubt insurance will fix that.
