Locked my keys the other day and I luckily found someone that could get other keys and help me out. I forgot about the key in the credit card holder to unlock it-I dont carry a wallet. Has anyone found a nice flat spot underneath for a magnet box? Would have saved a lot of heartburn :-)

I would never do that....that's like the old days when my grandparents had a fake rock outside (I want to say they got it at Sharper Image or something?) where they hid keys to the house? I think one is better off having to go through some trouble if fobs are lost, rather than to hide them where anyone could have access...my .02
I gave a spare key to a friend at work, he basically insisted it was a good idea (I was a bachelor and he sorta looked out for me with the things I did not know). When I left the firm, he said he couldn't find the key (so what good would it have done that I gave it to him). As a precaution, I changed the locks (rekey'd). After I lost a key and this would be the 4th time since buying the house in 2002, I rekey'd myself. NOBODY sells the kit to rekey locks, except amazon. No locksmith sells it, nor do the Lowes/HD. Man, that was really hard, springs and pins flying all over the house. Takes a lot of patience...when it comes to keys, it's easier to break the door. Plus there are only 1024 possible keys for the old locks, a pro can open it quickly anyway.
