Default speaker reccomenations

So all of the speakers on the right side of my car decided to die on me. I decided that I'll replace all of the speakers to get it over with. I'd like to keep my factory amp though. Can anyone recommend some tweeters, door speakers, etc. that don't sound like garbage and are affordable?

Speakers typically don't just die. You could be dealing with wiring problems.

When I move the audio to the right side of the car there's no sound. you can only hear very little if you crank the audio way up. Any suggestion what that might be?

I would suspect in this order....1) The right channel of the amp could be blown/defective, and second but unlikely culprit, the right wiring connectors to the amp. I've never seen the amp, but if it's possible, you could try swapping the left and right side connector(s) and see if the problem follows the wire, or stays. If you disconnect a right side connector and move to the left channel/side of the amp and you get sound, then you know it's not your right side speakers nor the wiring.

Again, I don't know if this is physically possible to do and if the connectors are the same, or if there's enough 'slack' in the wiring harnesses, etc, but that's a good starting point I think. Others who have replaced their amps should be able to chime in and provide info on the connectors, where the amp is (I think the trunk), etc, etc.

If the signal wires are pinched and shorted together, your speaker will not receive any signal to reproduce sound. Since you mentioned that the entire right side is out, the pinch-point is near the amplifier, or the right channel circuit in your amp may be defective.

Which year model is your LS430? I can dig up some diagrams for you to troubleshoot.

Hey, Caverman, you forgot to mention your write-up on how to repair the subwoofer without removing the back seat...
