Some of you will not have a problem with comfort because I think that custom luxury and ultra luxury used a different type of leather. Im not sure but I think the semi alanine leather seats are harder than the regular ones. I find the bolsters are super hard, but the most uncomfortable part is the middle of the seat where you actually sit - it's really hard. So had anybody had success in remedying this issue if you've had it?

do tell...my driver's seat is uncomfortably hard after 101k. I would love to refoam it with something like the foam in my '05 LX470 which is still perfect after 150k.

A quick search pulled up these threads. Might be worth a look at.

After having some issues finding a local upholstery shop to replace the OEM foam pad, as a temporary fix I bought a padded seat cover (~ $30) at a local auto parts store that rests on the seat and I must say it is very comfortable. I may end up replacing the seat pad myself at some point. In my climate here in western WA I doubt the heated and cooled seat function will ever be used so the pad resting over the seat works for me.

I think you are absolutely correct. expecially the driver/passenger seats edit: I read this may be because of the cooling function the foam is different? is the 01-03 foam different?
