That seems really high, is it more because of the windshield? Are they cutting it by hand or are they using machine-cut pieces? What tint did you end up going with?
Limo tint on my old Scion xB was $180 for everything but the windshield, using machine-cut pieces for an exact fit. Maybe the windshield is more due to how large of a piece it is?

They cut everything by hand took 1.5 hours to do it used luminar I believe lifetime warranty. I think it looks awesome. They charged me more because they had to remove the old tint that is what they said anyways.
I did 20% tint on the rear sides and back window to keep the interior temp down. It works great. I thought about tinting the front sides (yeah it looks better to do all 4) but I like being to see exactly what's happening when I look back to pass. To each his (or her) own.

Honestly the 15% is not bad I can clearly see through my windows no problems, have not driven at night time though. I am waiting till I can roll the windows down to drive at night, I dont wanna get shot over something stupid like window tint lol. Having the windshield tinted makes a huge difference, I parked at a store it was 94° out when went inside and came out 30 mins later and the interior was cooler than it normally would be.
Its just so sexy looking, I cannot get over how much better the car looks now.
That's what happen to me when I got the windshield done. Shop said there has to be over 5% in defects before they replace it. I'm not going back to them.

I called the place and the guy said no problem make an appointment to bring it in we will fix it you have a lifetime warranty. So I will post pics when they are fixed.
