Question Speaker replacement, How to Fix Front Door Pockets?

Replacing my front door speakers since the passenger side threw a fit so I decided to upgrade them. I've managed to get the door card off and released I now have easy access to the door pocket which for the longest time goes limp and will open awkwardly when the door is slammed.

I've pulled the pieces out which is the pocket, a gear and a spring. But Im trying to figure out how it's supposed to swing open and stay closed.

Thanks!

If it's doing the same thing as mine, the plastic hinge pin that the pocket pivots on has broken, and now the pocket has nothing to pivot on.
My plan (next week on vacation) is to pull the door card and drill out that plastic hinge pin, or what ever is left of it, and replace it with a 3/16 threaded bolt, with a spacer between the pocket and door card, so the pocket has something to pivot on again..
