LS430 ODB2 Code : P1340
Searching around the internet, I have found the ODB code P1340 can possible be a cylinder #8 ignition coil/firing problem OR a camshaft sensor problem. Which is correct?

Thanks for the quick feedback, obviously the check engine light is on, but it is confusing because the CHECK VSC warning text and TRACTION OFF warning light are on as well. Very confusing!!

I have same issue, what's the solution?
I'm not sure if I'm missing something but i have the exact same problem and I'm not sure which to replace? i also have the P1340 code(check engine light) and VSC (Vehicle Stability Control light) and TCS (Taction Control System light)

Both the cam sensor and the ignition coil can be checked if you have a multimeter. All the specifics you need are available on the internet.
Also, when an ignition coil fails a P35X code is generated. 353 points to coil #3, 358 points to #8, etc.

P1340 is the cam sensor.

after swapping coil pack #8 (passenger rear) with #2 (passenger front) the code came back. So it’s not the coil. Upon looking up the code it says
“P1340 LEXUS Code
Camshaft Position
Sensor
'A' Bank 1
Sensor 2
can anyone tell me where this sensor is located.
