Tiny little rusted metal and stains on moonlight pearl
#16
The tiny rust spots are also known as rail dust. Tiny sharp slivers of steel/iron in the air land on the paint job and will embed into the clear-coat. The slivers then rust leaving a rust stain and a hole in the clearcoat. Most of the time a clay bar alone is not adequate to remove the rail dust rust particles and stains. The iron-x product will chemically neutralize the rust and should be followed up with new clean clay bar to smooth out the surface and then a good quality polish, and finally wax.

I know that when my pearl white Maxima was brand new, me and my buddy were in Montréal and some car ahead of us was spewing white smoke, but I also noticed my windshield was wet. I said oh no...I think that (*&(*)&()&@#$ got antifreeze all over my car.....we pulled off and sure enough, orange dots in the clear coat...why orange dunno, maybe it was a GM car, I swear it was the equivalent of a Geo Metro or something, too long ago to remember....
