Default Windshield Washer Fluid Reservoir Leaking - 04 LS430

Hi everyone,

My LS430s washer fluid reservoir is leaking. The water poured just flows out in not more than 2 minutes and empties the tank. Can this be a disconnected hose/pipe as my car was repainted a week back. So they had to remove parts apart. Can some help me with a repair diagram or how to access it, if possible, without taking the bumper off.

If I can find the leak, i can either seal it or change the whole tank.

Thank you!

This isn't as clear as a picture, but it shows where the tank is located. It's quite possible that something was disconnected and now allows the washer fluid to drain out the bottom with ease.

When the car was painted, did they have any reason to access that area, inside the fender/bumper area?

Perhaps it's accessible from underneath? You can remove the main lower engine cover and then there are small covers that close out each forward outboard corner. It may be accessible there..?

coincidentally just happend to me 2 days ago, i just popped the plug back into the resovir and it plugged the leak and also turned off the dreaded warning low fluid light i had on prior, i parked close to a curb back up and it yanked right out as it got caught with the undercover engine splash shield.

@2kHarrier
Thanks a lot for the pic..
They removed the bumpers fenders and almost everything that can be removed. Wait. Yes .They should've removed this too as the painted the engine bay areas too. So it can be that. I hope it is that and I don't have to replace the whole tank. I'll check if I can access it by removing the bottom covers.

@lextout
How did you access the pipe and where is it located exactly. Did you do it yourself ? Any info will be helpful.
thank you

i accessed the pipe right behind the bumper parking lights on driver side, u have to remove some of the fender liner to access it.
