Default Converting roof antenna to back glass

I am curious if anyone has thought about doing this the radio waves are just magnetic charges I believe if what I was reading was correct.

This is my idea....the defroster lines on your back windshield are metal I think so can I just hook up one end of the antenna to one side then do the same on the other side like 2003 Chevy impala has.

From what I've read the roof antenna was just for the in-car phone. If that's true I'm not sure where the am/fm antenna is

I'm pretty sure the radio antenna is already in the rear windshield. I shaved my roof antenna off.

How much did that run you to do that?

can't say how much it cost to do just that, as I had them shave my trunk and body work and paint my whole car at the same time.

So the antenna was just for the cellular phone option? I'm assuming it was used for Lexus Link as well then?

If that is the case then it serves zero purpose anymore, other than looks. I personally actually like the way it looks on the roof...

I wonder if there is a Sirius antenna that looks similar that I could put in its place. The Sirius antenna sitting offset on the trunk just looks so out of place and stupid. I'd love something a little more classy looking.

I did a lot of the prep work myself to save time and money. I basically sent my car in with the body panels disassembled and interior removed.
