Anyone know how to disconnect FM antenna?
I have an FM transmitter and I'm not quite ready to spend the $200+ on a vaistech kit which I really want for bluetooth. Anyone have video/pictures on how to disconnect the FM antenna?

Either standard or Nav unit equipped come out the same. The Chinesium Harbour Freight/Ebay/Amazon plastic interior tools is money well spent. Here you go. Don’t drop the screws/bolts in the tranny tunnel or you will be disappointed.

From what I can tell the connection is the same. The Beatsonic kit for the 01-03 and 04-06 have the same antenna wire with adapter. The antenna connection is not a standard Motorola antenna plug like most cars. Thats why the Beatsonic kit comes with an adapter wire. But the connection is in the trunk next to the Nav unit.
Here is a thread on install of the Beatsonic kit.

Excellent, thank you. One more question; I have an FM transmitter/bluetooth workaround, but some songs have static/distortion when the bass clashes with the vocals, is it because it's running on a busy frequency on the FM station? Because I've tried playing the same songs on a burned CD and the sound quality is superb.
The only reason I made this post was because some guy on reddit said he just disconnected the FM antenna and had no static/distortion.

This is the workaround I was referring to.
The FM radio is stock in the car.

It would seem that you are correct. Tried unplugging the antenna to no avail, did not resolve the problem. I'm not going to try to get a replacement unit, I'm just gonna shoot straight for a vaistech Bluetooth kit, as I would prefer native bluetooth instead of a plug in cigarette lighter adapter.
