Non ML, sound intermittently cutting out
So this just started about a week or two ago. It's fine about 85% of the time, but the sound just goes mute. Power to system is fine, I change inputs and power wise it's all fine but just no sound sometimes. No hissing no crackling, just nothing. Complete mute.
If I bang on the dash above the vent it "fixes it".
Wondering if I need a new amp or just if a connection is loose? No way I'm going to the dealership.
I did pull the fuse for the tilt wheel recently, but it was only one fuse and I got the right one. And, if it was a fuse problem wouldn't there be no power to the sytem?
BTW, this IS NOT the ML, it's the Pioneer on the base cars.
TIA.
