Default AC colder on passenger side than driver side

When I set both sides' temp to say 22C, the passenger side front vents blow cool air of the set temp but the driver side vents seems to be a few degrees warmer. Could this be a blend door problem? Thanks for any advice.

Indeed. Either the mode door is loose or is not opening up all the way.

Is it very difficult to get to the mode doors? Or could it be a blend door actuator thats going bad?

One side blowing warmer than the other is a classic symptom of the air conditioning being low on refrigerant.

However, there is a possibility that having it recharged may only cure it temporarily. I.e. there was a reason it got low in the first place. Hopefully it's just natural weepage through the A/C compressor bearings. Worst case scenario there's a leak somewhere else.

Well in that case I can be certain that there is some sort of leak going on in the system as I have only charged it a few months ago.
