Default Interior pieces that are getting skinned in CF

This winter while my car is in storage I am going to reskin my busted wood grain and some interior pieces circled in red are the pieces I am giving the CF treatment to.

The plastic piece that is right after the gauges saw king talking about this in his build thread and made me want to give my own twist on it.

The piece below I might do in gold carbon kevlar same with the door handle plastics, or I may leave them alone more likely than not.

That's a nice lil tray you got sitting there on the passenger floor I imagine it helps increase ride quality and comfort

The plastic were the seatbelt comes out is getting skinned

I might do the vanity mirror surround but I am definitely doing the plastic piece were the light is.

Idk, that wood just looks so perfect with your beautiful black leather. It's just so elegant and makes the car look modern high-end even if it is over a decade old. But I guess if you are going to go for the carbon fiber trim look in the 430, a black interior is the interior to do it with. I don't really think it will look right with any other color interior.

Have you considered just doing a wrap of some kind so you can easily revert back to the original color just in case you change your mind down the road?

Honestly, I would mostly stick to re-skinning the wood trim. I think doing all those pieces will be just a tad overkill. Maybe at least scale it back a bit. But it is up to you. Maybe it will end up looking awesome all around, I'll just have to see the finished product.

Anyway, good luck with the project. I hope it works out for you.

I might do less I honestly dont know I have to physically see what it will look like, but it should be awesome looking regardless.

How do you reskin it in carbon fibre? Is there a kit? Or do you have to take it to a shop?

They have kits or you can buy all the products to do it yourself. You could take it to a shop but they will want a ton of money to re skin anything because its very labor intensive.

Here is the thread a fellow club lexus member did
